So creepy, brilliantly done! Loved the imagery - "twin circles of pale bone", Milly "like a pale gecko". And the "BIG BANG" line - a parallel universe suddenly instantiating? I did not expect the twist that came, nice one!
So trippy! I don’t know what I was expecting, but when I read that there were two John’s I was totally intrigued and surprised. It made for a fantastic twist. And the idea at the end about the doppelgänger effect is equally intriguing!
"In its place hung two moons, twin circles of pale bone, floating over the seam where two worlds had just met." - I love this last line, Michael.
Great read, and left me worried for the poor Millys!
You’re not the first person to say that. Guess I’ll have to write a sequel! Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it :)

Thanks, Caitriana! I enjoyed writing those details, and I'm glad you picked up on them. Thank you so much :)
The atmosphere was so weird. I read the second part with this strange mix of awe and uneasiness.
Thanks, bro!

Great stuff Michael :)
I find the doppelgänger effect fascinating. Even from a psychological angle. Thanks, bro!
I totally agree! It’s a trip. I’d love to run into one of my doppelgängers just to see how it made me feel. :)
The doppelgänger twist was really nice but sad that John died.
Please make Part 3, I need to know what happens to the Millys lol
My wife asked me same :)
Creepy and superb! And definitely continuing with the dark Twilight Zone vibe.
I like the parallel worlds intersecting idea. Obviously I do a lot of that myself.
Will there be a part 3?
There isn't a Part 3 yet, but who knows? Thanks for the feedback, Evelyn! I really appreciate it!
