Excellent story, and I can’t wait for the next installment Michael! I love how your mind digs deep into the importance of sound. I never considered silence an important element in communication. We use is all the time to express ourselves through speaking and music. It sends vibrations through the universe, and the silence between all the notes is vital. You explain it so well. Thank you for sharing that aspects about it. It reminds me of the negative space in art.
Oh, I’m not the one to write about that subject. I am just merely aware of its existence. Lol! The person who would be best for that subject is, @Michael Newberry and he may have already written an essay? 🤗
Michael, Hi! I read the first part of "Nuclear Bulge" and I like it very much. There's an energy in your writing that reminds me a little of John Ringo. You like to get into emotions and how they make people act and he liked to do that too. You are are good at world building. I'm eager to know more about the situation you create in the first part of the story. Be careful about repeating a descriptive word too much. I'm guilty of doing that in my writing (along with a dozen other thingss!!). I'm eager to read the next part.
Wow! Very gripping Michael. I am totally invested in finding out what happens and what’s going on. You’ve written a very engaging narrative here. And it’s impressive how you’ve weaved in the anti-matter, anti-sound science stuff in a way that flows naturally. :)
I'll make time. Writing is not a choice for me. It's breathing. Can you believe that? And you're one of the people I write for on substack. So thank you so much for being here, Portia ;-)

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you liked it. And... "Negative space in art", I'd love to read something from you about that!

Great story so far! Can't wait to find out what's going on with Mitchell and the crew and what's going on with the mysterious black planet!
Thank you so much! :-)

Thanks, Sandy, I'll treasure your writing tip!
Beautiful Captain, with intense descriptions. I wonder what you have in mind for Nora. 🤍🥰
Who knows… ;-)

What's gonna happen?
Mitchell will find out who the crew members really are and... who he really is. Maybe...
It's all in my head, Portia. I just need time to write it. I really need an extra supply of time lately. ⌚ ;-)
Michael, don't push yourself too much. I'm intrigued, but a tired writer can't really write that much. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

That's true dedication, Michael. Breathe and write, then, to your heart's content. I'm so honored to be one of your enthusiastic readers!
Honored!
