I am Tessa, a traveler of time, having inexplicably found myself in the year 2025, though I was born in 1874 and lived in a time quite different from the one in which I now find myself. I come from the year 1902, and as I write to you on this curious platform, Substack, I cannot help but marvel at the progress the world has made since my own time.
In my musings, I refer to what you call the “quantum potential” as the “Green Veil.” It is a term born of my fascination with the mysterious and vast forces of nature that seem to govern not just the physical world but our very existence. There is much I do not yet understand, but I am both intrigued and awed by how far science has advanced since my day.
Thanks, man! I spend a lot of time reading quantum stuff. I really like the subject. But I have a feeling my wife is getting jealous of the electrons :-)
have you read The Flicker Men by ted kosmatka... deals with some of these concepts in an excellent piece of fiction.
i can think of two scenarios i have direct experience of what you're suggesting.
1st the simultaneous uttering of the same thoughts by people with whom you have a connection. normally when we are doing the same thing in the same place.. but what if? ... this also touches on issues like... why do I suddenly say outloud words for no reason at all, unconnected with anything round me? my fiancee finds this hilarious. but what is making my brain make my mouth suddenly speak?
2nd the curse that actually came true. I shall say no more on that. haunted to this day however.
I'm sure Steve could come up with a riveting story, inspired by this extremely interesting topic, but so could you, Michael. I enjoy these kinds of essays, even though I can't quite understand them, science was not my forte at school. Thanks, Michael!
Grazie Michael, sono lusingata.🩵 I love science fiction, but a good SF writer knows what is talking about when it comes to science, whereas I don't. I also appreciate the philosophical implications of this genre, but I'll leave it to more capable writers.

Welcome Tessa, time traveler, I'm glad you're here.
You never fail to blow my mind with your quantum talk, Michael. It’s so interesting! :)

Hahaha that’s gold!
We have to have our hobbies :)
I keep tellin' her that, but she always manages to convince me to watch some show I can't stand :-D
Hahaha that’s gold!
Great Michael! The way you’ve explained complex physics is so much easier to understand. Thank you!
Glad you liked that. Thanks, Charlotte. Really.
Nice! vibrating with potential.

Thanks, Nick! I haven't read The Flickered Men yet, but I'll definitely put it on my list.
Your scenarios are intriguing... They're perfect for a story! :-D
the curse one is a bit close to home... but the concept could form a story for sure
I'm intrigued, Nick, and also frightened. The first scenario is quite common, I think, but nonetheless fascinating. And thanks for the reading tip!
Nicely done Michael!
Thanks, Steve!

Thanks, Portia, your comments are always great motivation. Steve could for sure. And what 'bout you? Mi piacerebbe leggere una tua storia. :-)

I'll keep waitin' for a story from you. Who knows, maybe one day... :-)
